Description about Evgeny Mokhorev

Evgeny Mokhorev is a Russian photographer, born in Leningrad (USSR) in 1967.  He was eight when he took his first photographs.  He started to work as a professional photographer in 1986 and in 1987 joined the famous Leningrad photo club “Mirror.”  Mokhorev is a member of the Union of Photographers of Russia since 1992.  In 1993 he won the “Discovery of the Year” award at the First Russian Photo Festival.  In 1994 and 1998 he received a government grant for young artists and in 1996 was nominated the Photoartist of the Year.  Mokhorev is a member of the Union of Russian Artists since 1997.  He lives and works in St. Petersburg.
